Anemoia (2023-Ongoing)

Anemoia was a term coined John Koenig in 2012, whose project, The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows, aims to come up with new words for emotions that currently lack words. Anemoia is defined as nolstagia for a time or a place one has never known. These short videos are moments I feel outside of my body. I instinctually record when I recognize the moment and they become bookmarks in my life. These videos hope to dissolve these experiences into abstracted emotional weight.
